Port Charges 2008


The cargo charges are levied on basis of gross weight and the fee shall

always be €19,00 at a minimum.


Cargo charges have been divided into groups according to the Statistics

on Shipping (MKL) while taking into consideration The Harmonized

Commodity Description and Coding System (Harmonized System, HS)

of Customs Tariff.

2 Tug boats and tug-barge combinations


The tug boats are charged for their maximum lengths as follows:


less than 15 m long      €42,00

15 m - 30 m long         €83,00

over 30 m long           €109,00


The vessel charge entitles the vessel to remain in the port area for 31 days

and nights.


Tug-barge combinations referred to in section 29 (2) of the Government

Decree on Pilotage are charged on the basis of the barge’s total net

tonnage.


No vessel fee is charged from those tug boats that assist other vessels

which run on engine power without mooring to the quay in the port area.


3 Vessels under construction, maintenance and repair in the shipyard


Vessel charge is €0,43/net tonnage. Minimum charge is €135,00.

For vessels less than 50 m in length the charge is €22,00 regardless of

the actual length.




 

4. Waste management

The waste management fee per cargo ship shall be €/net tonnage, according

to the following:

Sorted waste       €0,06

Maximum fee       €100,00


If the vessel delivers unsorted waste contrary to the Regulations, €/net

tonnage shall be charged as follows:

Unsorted waste     €0,18

Minimum fee       €150,00


Oil waste fee


A waste management fee of €0,12/net tonnage shall be charged for oily

waste from the engine room.


For amounts of waste that are exceptionally large in terms of the vessel’s

normal use or traffic, the vessel will be charged according to the realized

costs.


The pumping power requirement for oily waste is 3 m3/h after which the

fee will be charged according to the realized costs.


The minimum amount of waste management fee charged is €50,00.


The fee will not be charged from a vessel granted a special permission for

the treatment of oily residues by the Finnish Maritime Administration

pursuant to the Waste Act on Vessels.


Hazardous waste


Hazardous waste is included (except oily residue from the engine room) in

the waste management fee to the extent that their amount is smaller than

a barrel of two hundred (200) litres or a comparable amount.

Larger lots are charged according to the realized costs, added with the

10 % general costs of the Port.


Other waste


Persons conducting stowing in the Port are responsible on their own account

for the cleaning and transfer of freight residue from handled goods.


Waste from the freight must be cleaned within seven (7) days after the vessel

has left the Port, subsequent to which the payment is charged according to

the realized processing costs, added with the general costs of 10 %.


Greywater


When a vessel delivers greywater to the Port, a waste water fee of €1,57/ton

will be charged.


In addition to the waste water fee, transportation costs are levied as follows:


During normal working hours,


on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3.30 pm.
