DHL Express is adding flights to meet increased demand for next-day service between the US and the Middle East and Asia Pacific, reported Associated Press Newswires.
The company said a Boeing 747-400F operated by Polar Air Cargo started flying this week from DHL's Cincinnati hub to Bahrain, making for quicker deliveries to Bahrain, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. DHL provides delivery service to the US Defense Department in Iraq and Afghanistan.
DHL said the dedicated plane also is flying from Bahrain to Hong Kong to allow for a later pick-up time on deliveries from Hong Kong to Cincinnati.
