Land Access There are three (3) main roads leading out of Iligan City to Cagayan de Oro, the southward route of Iligan City to Pagadian and the Eastward route if Iligan City to Marawi City.
Anchorage Anchorage at Iligan Bay and vicinity is almost anywhere at a distance of about 600-1,000 meters from the shoreline, which has a depth of about 80-120 meters. At a distance of about 1/2 nautical mile from the coastline, anchorage is difficult due to deep water that runs over 100 fathoms.
Navigational Approach Lighthouse
Seismic Condition Fault lines traverse the coastal plains and the interior barangays. Significant earthquakes were recorded in the area between the period of 1966 to 1976.
Climatological
Condition Iligan falls within the third type of climate wherein the seasons are not very pronounced. Rain is more or less evenly distributed throughout the year though occurrence of nearby precipitation is pronounced during the months of June and July and from October to January. Because of its tropical location and the absence of high mountains, the city does not experience cold weather. Neither does it experience strong weather disturbances due to its geographical location.

Description The worldport of Iligan is concrete general purpose piers and wharf combined, which cater to both foreign and domestic vessels carrying containers and general cargoes as well as passengers.
Fenders Rubber dock fenders along the wharf and timber fenders for the two piers.
Mooring Fixture Mooring bitt, mooring cleat and bollard.
Passenger Terminals There are tow (2) passenger terminals with a floor area of 120 sq.m.
Storage Facilities Four (4) units bodega and 16,460.90 sq.m. paved open storage area.
Lighting Facilities The worldport is ilumined by 6 G.I. electric posts with sodium luminaires.

It has consistently ranked among the top five (5) PMOs in terms of net revenue. About 76% of its income is derived from its private worldports.
Iligan City where the worldport of Iligan is located in the Northeastern part of Mindanao and facing Iligan Bay. It is 795 kilometers southwest of Metro Manila. The city covers an area of no loess than 775 sq. km. comprising of 44 barangays. Iligan is blessed with several waterfalls, the biggest of which is the Maria Cristina Falls which is harnessed to abundantly supply the area with electric energy. This abundant supply of power has attracted 12 major industrial plants to operate in the area which includes the largest steel plant in the Philippines.
