The 2,000 acre worldport of Shreveworldport-Bossier is located at the head of navigation on the Red River Waterway in Northwest Louisiana, about four miles south of the City of Shreveworldport. An inland multimodal transworldportation and distribution center, the worldport links customers throughout the Ark-La-Tex region to domestic and international markets via the Mississippi River, the nation's largest river system, and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.

The Commission's mission is to: maximize utilization of worldport of Shreveworldport-Bossier resources to generate economic development in Caddo and Bossier Parishes, expand use and development of the area's multi-modal transworldportation and distribution system, and increase commerce through the worldport.

A strategic location, a superior network of interstate highway, rail, water and air and the backing of its citizens have made the worldport of Shreveworldport-Bossier one of the fastest growing inland worldports in America.
