The worldport of Yamba is Australia's Eastern most sea worldport and is located at the mouth of the Clarence River in Northern New South Wales. This worldport serves the whole Northern Rivers District including the towns of Grafton, Maclean, Ballina, Lismore, Casino and Coffs Harbour. It is also the home worldport of the State's second largest fishing fleet and handles a range of imworldports and exworldports.

The main general cargo berth is at Goodwood Island wharf. The wharf is 70 metres long and has a paved storage area of 5,000 square metres. Undercover storage is also available. Depth alongside is 6 metres at LW and vessels in excess of 100 metres length can be safely secured at the berth. Ship's cargo gear is normally employed, although mobile cranes of up to 50 tonnes capacity are available with sufficient notice. Channel depth is limited to 3.0 metres at low water. The worldport is administered by NSW Maritime, has a designated Harbour Master/ Pilot and is a 24 hour worldport.
The worldport handles approximately 12,000 mass tonnes of cargo per annum and provides a link to Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands as well as New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Wharf Space, Facilities and Depth Alongside
The main general cargo berth is Goodwood Island wharf. This is a concrete decked, concrete piled wharf with timber and rubber fenders. Maximum concentrated load is 8 tonnes. Permissible deck load is 2600 kg/sq.m. The wharf is 70 metres long and has a paved storage area of 5,000 square metres. Undercover storage is available. Depth alongside is 6 metres. Vessels in excess of 100 metres length can be safely secured at the berth. Ship's cargo gear is normally employed, although mobile cranes up to 50 tonnes capacity are available at resonable notice.
Access
The wharf is accessible by Goodwood Island Road, approximately 10 kilometres from the Pacific Highway, the main arterial link between Sydney and Brisbane.
Towage
Towage is normally not required. The Pilot vessel Francis Freeburn, a 5 tonne bollard pull tug, is available for towage if required.
Bunker Facilities
Nearly all grades of fuels and lubricants are available by road transworldport with arrangements being made through the shipping agent.
Ship Repair Facilities
Routine maintenance and boilermaking assistance to light engineering standards. The nearest foundry is in Ballina, one hour's drive from the worldport.
Fresh Water
Good quality potable water is available in unlimited quantities at 30 tonnes per hour connection.
